PAX Prime 2015 – We Have Concerns (Episodes 177 – 179)

Panel Description: The wildly popular comedy/science podcast We Have Concerns lands at PAX for the first time, live.  Anthony Carboni (3 Scientists, Dnews, Rev3Games) and Jeff Cannata (DLC, /Filmcast, Totally Rad Show) bring their fully improvised podcast about the wonder and dread hidden inside every day things to PAX for a live performance.  Laugh.  Think.  Make a Dad Joke.  But whatever you do, don’t miss it.

Panelists: Jeff Cannata [Actor, Website], Anthony Carboni [Host, Twitter]

Source: We Have Concerns

Podcast Descriptions:

Episode 177 – Monkey Sear, Monkey Chew (LIVE from PAX 2015) – When given the option between raw and cooked food, chimpanzees seem to prefer the latter, even if it means delaying their gratification. This leads researchers to believe that if given the chance, Chimps would cook their food, as humans do. Jeff thinks this indicates an impressive level of cognitive understanding in the animals, but Anthony is unimpressed by anything that just wants better tasting stuff.

Episode 178 – Cephalopods from Outer Space (LIVE from PAX 2015!) – Anthony has an irrational fear of octopi, the eight-armed denizens of the deep. And now, scientists have sequenced the octopus genome and discovered that their DNA is so different from any other creature on Earth that they could be qualified as “aliens”. As you might imagine, this makes Anthony completely lose it. Listen, then, as Jeff attempts to hold the show together in front of a live audience.

Episode 179 – It Came From the Audience (LIVE from PAX 2015!!) – In this special, double-length episode, Anthony and Jeff take topic suggestions directly from the crowd during their live panel at PAX 2015. Subjects include the animal stone age, snake fish, the singularity, Wrestlemania, and much more! This is a very different kind of episode you won’t want to miss!
