PAX East 2013 – Mental Health and Video Games – Science vs Stigma


The average age of a today’s gamer is 34, yet most of the research available that has studied the interaction between video games and mental health focuses on children. This panel will address the myths and the science behind the connection between mental health and video games in adults. The panel will cover the latest research on the impact of video games on mental health, including a unique 2012 study which was designed by gamers themselves.
